Fulltext PDFThis letter highlights the strengths and offers constructive observations on the article by Slwa Sami Alattar and Hosam Alzahrani, titled “Effectiveness of adding dry needling of the upper trapezius muscle to the usual physiotherapy for managing chronic neck pain: A randomized controlled trial with a 7-week follow up,” published in Musculoskeletal Science and Practice. The study presents a valuable exploration of combining dry needling with conventional physiotherapy for chronic neck pain, addressing both physical and psychological aspects. While the authors’ approach is commendable, this letter aims to raise several methodological and reporting considerations to enhance the clarity, rigor, and applicability of the study's findings.
