Corrosion  Behaviour of Ever Silver Vessels When in Contact with Payasam, Both With and Without The Addition of Sugar

Background: Neurological and musculoskeletal conditions are a leading cause of disability worldwide, posing significant challenges despite conventional therapies, often resulting in chronic pain and functional limitations. Scalp acupuncture (SA), a needling technique combining traditional acupuncture methods with Western medical knowledge of neuroanatomy, offers a promising low-cost, low-risk alternative treatment modality. Its applications have been shown to span various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, yet current literature is limited, necessitating further research to integrate SA into clinical practice effectively.
Objective: We aim to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of SA in 4 cases of refractory musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions including phantom limb pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), cervical paraspinal pain, and facial paralysis.
Methodology: This is a retrospective case series of 4 patients who were either referred to the James J. Peters Veterans Administrations Outpatient Pain Medicine Clinic or consulted for inpatient pain management. Patient exhibited symptoms refractory to conservative management, namely pain and/or paralysis/tremor. Pain scores were assessed using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).
Results: All 4 patients experienced immediate post-treatment relief of symptoms after 1 acupuncture treatment, including improved VAS score. Long-term effects were not uniformly assessed, but improvements were also seen at all follow-up visits documented varying from 2 weeks to 4 months’ post-treatment. No adverse events were reported.
Conclusion: SA demonstrates efficacy as an adjunctive treatment for a diverse range of musculoskeletal and neurological pathologies, offering immediate and long-term pain relief and improved quality of life.

Pancytopenia is defined as a decrease in all three peripheral blood cell lines. A myriad of medications can cause pancytopenia. Daptomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic commonly used against gram-positive bacteria and has been increasingly used in treating Methicillin Staph aureus (MRSA). We present a case report of a 61-year-old male who was started on Daptomycin due to a soft tissue infection and subsequently developed pancytopenia. Pancytopenia did not initially improve by stopping the antibiotic or with colony-stimulating agents. However, blood counts did respond to trial of steroids, indicating a possible immune-mediated mechanism. This case report explores a rare, and possibly, novel adverse reaction to a commonly used antibiotic. Isolated reports of neutropenia and thrombocytopenia have been reported, but to our knowledge, this is the first case of Daptomycin-induced pancytopenia in the literature.

Case Report- Daptomycin Induced Pancytopenia and Review of Literature

This case report examines an episode of acute bradycardia in a healthy 34-year-old female during induction for an elective bilateral salpingectomy. The patient received fentanyl, lignocaine, propofol, and succinylcholine for anesthesia induction. Despite a lack of prior cardiac history, her heart rate dropped from 88 to 40 beats per minute shortly after succinylcholine administration. The bradycardia was promptly resolved with intravenous atropine, allowing surgery to proceed uneventfully. This case highlights the potential for bradycardia with the use of propofol and succinylcholine in anesthesia induction, particularly in the absence of premedication with anticholinergic agents. The case underscores the importance of preoperative assessment and the need for vigilance in monitoring heart rate, especially when using these agents in combination.

Tinea corporis is a common fungal infection characterized by itching, redness, and ring-shaped lesions on the skin. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the symptoms, treatment, and prevention of the infection, emphasizing the critical importance of early diagnosis. By sharing the diagnostic process of the infection through my personal research, the aim is to contribute to raising health awareness among individuals and helping them make informed decisions. Early diagnosis is crucial for initiating effective treatment and preventing the spread of the infection. Our findings highlight the significance of personal experiences and the role of individual research in the diagnostic process for health awareness. This paper aims to raise awareness about the importance and treatment options of tinea corporis infection. It should be noted that increasing early diagnosis and health awareness contributes to effective management of the infection and the protection of public health.
