Fulltext PDFPulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM) is a rare vascular anomaly characterised by an abnormal right-to-left shunt, leading to impaired gas exchange and disruption of pulmonary filtration. Although uncommon in the general population, PAVMs are a crucial differential diagnosis in patients presenting with hypoxaemia, pulmonary nodules, or haemoptysis. Here, we report a rare case of a 38-year-old female who presented with complaints of headache and was subsequently diagnosed with a pulmonary arteriovenous fistula.
